of the Board of Trade in the Rules of Court and he is
in Shanghai where the appointment is needed.

The officer
will be an officer of the Hongkong Government as at
present proposed. I do not think that there would be
work to fill his time by a long way, it is a question

paid by Hongkong. It must not be forgotten that pro-
vision has to be made to enable existing companies
Carrying on business in China to transfer to the
Shanghai register.
